In Texas, SB6, also known as the bathroom bill, threatened the rights of trans citizens to use the bathroom of the gender with which they identify. Working with the ACLU of Texas, we created a PSA aimed at cisgendered allies to “roll up our sleeves, pull down our pants, and pee with LGBT”. The video was polarizing in all the right ways, drawing national attention from the likes of Rolling Stone and Drudge Report. Just days after the video released, SB6 was emphatically vetoed in the Texas State Senate.
